The last few months have been very exciting filled with lots of changes. We have started taking bookings online to allow patients to book in hygienist appointments and routine examinations from the comfort of their own bed at any time of day! We now also have clinipads for patients to fill in their forms, and sign treatment plans – this is in the hope of reducing the amount of paper we use and therefore reducing our environmental impact. We have started stocking a large variety of bamboo products at the practice including toothbrushes, floss and tooth pics – these have all been very well received. If there are any bamboo products that you have found that you think we should stock – do let one of our team members know and we will see what we can do.
Unfortunately we had to say a sad farewell to one of nurses Clare as she goes to further her career as a therapist – we wish her the best of luck and look forward to hearing her progress! We also had to wave goodbye to our foundation dentist – Rachel as she heads North to start her career as an associate dentist. Although we are sad to lose them, we are pleased to say Billie – our new foundation dentist and Helen -our new nurse, have fitted in well and are great assets to our team. Finally in the team updates we would also like to congratulate our dentist – Greg Coffey and Olivia on their recent engagement – we are all looking forward to the wedding!!!
We are continuing to receive lots of new reviews from our patients on both Google and Facebook which we love to read. We are very proud of our star rating and it is often the reason why people call and register at our practice.
Steve continues to work for the premier league football team – Brighton and Hove Football Club as the club dentist, having attended the training grounds recently to carry out their dental examinations. Steve also spent a couple of afternoons recently at the local sports clubs and schools taking impressions for children’s sports mouthguards, making sure their teeth are safe whilst they enjoy their hobbies.
We now have lots of regular patients attending for facial aesthetics as it becomes more and more popular with word of mouth from happy patients being spread around Lewes and surrounding areas. Greg has also seen an increasing amount of patients for invisalign as their friends and family see the results of the invisible braces. Earlier in the summer we enjoyed a great staff day out at Goodwood Horse Races, we loved getting dressed up and spending the day together as a team – although none of us were much good at the betting!! Our six monthly team days out are a great way for us to let our hair down and bond as a group away from teeth!
