We have just invested in a new machine to enable crowns and inlays to be constructed within the hour at the practice, and so stopping the need for weeks between preparation and fit appointments. With the aid of CAD/CAM technology, we can mill tooth coloured ceramic restoration on site. The advantages of this are same day crown making without the need for uncomfortable impressions.
Steven has supplemented his role as official dentist for Brighton and Hove Albion by completing a year long course at the Eastman Dental Institute on Sports dentistry. This course included the advanced treatment of dental injuries, oral health for the elite and recreational athlete and prevention of injuries during competitive sport. This course included a visit to the sports science department of Saracens Professional Rugby Club.
Continuing education is considered important in the development of Lewes High Street Dental Practice; in April Katie and Steven are attending a course on facial aesthetics, with Professor Kahhna. This will allow the treatments available at the practice to include anti wrinkle injectables
